NILS NSW 1800 FREECALL SERVICE (No Interest Loans Scheme)

This program is operated by Winmalee Neighbourhood Centre Incorporated through funding provided by NSW Fair Trading.

The programs’ purpose is to assist NSW residents interested in accessing a NIL (No Interest Loan) to find a scheme provider operating in their area.

When you call the FREECALL service, the operator will ask you a series of questions to help direct you to the appropriate scheme/schemes.

If you are struggling financially and require a loan, consider NILS before going to a payday lender or rent-to-buy service. NILS is a safe and affordable alternative to other high cost, “fast cash” finance options.

The program also provides small, interest free loans to low income earners and Centrelink recipients for the purpose of purchasing essential items such as;

Car Repairs and Registration
Technology e.g. Phone, Laptop, iPad ($1,000 limit)
Educational Expenses e.g. Fees, Uniforms
Medical, Dental, Well-Being and Life Expenses
Employment Expenses e.g. Licences or Equipment
House hold items e.g. Whitegoods, Furniture, Appliances

You can borrow up to $3,000 for:
Bonds for a new rental property
Costs Associated with a Natural Disaster
